Why was there nothing to do in the afternoon?
Yuffie had been bored the whole day and she'd run out of ideas as to what she could do to get entertained. She wasn't all that sure of where everyone else had run to, but wherever they were, they hadn't invited her... that, or they had invited her and she hadn't been paying attention.
So now she was wandering alone around Hollow Bastion, hoping to find someone interesting to talk to and as of now, she had no success. Huh, well. With all the situation with all the heartless and stuff, she wouldn't be surpirsed to find the place deserted. But still....
Half skipping, half walking around, she eyed everything around her, scanning everything. Looking for people.
No one was there.
How odd. It seemed like everyone had decided to leave the city and she had missed the ride. Or were they hidng away from the darkness? That was most likely the reason for which everything seemed to be so...lonely.
She sighed her disappointment. "Looks like everyone's away..."she thought aloud, brown eyes scanning the place. She turned on her heel to leave and head back to the Restoration Comittee. Maybe they were back from...from...wherever they'd gone to. Oh, she was so going to smack someone...

Though Yuffie had said to herself that nobody was around, she couldn't be farther from the truth. There was another living soul in the city, and he was marveling at the sights of whatever this particular world was called.
Though after a few minutes, he tired of this and sat down on a bench. "Man, I need a grand adventure! Stopping Chaos alongside Zidane and the rest was fun. But..." here he grinned. "There's always a new adventure waiting around every corner, waiting to be unlocked with the right stimulus!"
Bartz Klauser stood up, walking on the cobblestone streets, looking at the architecture. "Well, one thing's for certain... I'm not on Lix anymore. I'm not sure where I am. But finding out is half the fun!"
With that, he set his pace to a brisk walk, his lean frame casting out an equally-lean shadow from the sun. Here, he stopped at the sound of a voice.
"Looks like everyone's away..."
"Huh?" Bartz looked around, eventually spotting the young woman. "Oh!" He rushed towards her - only to find that she was deceptively on a lower level than him.
"Darn." His fear of heights was getting to him again, though it wasn't so large of a drop. Steeling himsef, he jumped down, landing straight in front of her rather awkwardly.

Yuffie sighed. Hollow Bastion wasn't the same today, it was too...empty. Boring, also. She had to admit, it was a little bit better when it wasn't half-crowded, but it was also worrying. Why had everyone vanished?
Maybe it had to do with all the swarms of Heartless in the area...That was theone and only logical explanation; or so it seemed. She couldn't find any other.
Her thoughts were suddenly broken as a guy landed clumsily in front of her; Yuffie's first reaction was to reach for her shuriken and stab the guy, but she didn't actually move. The guy didn't even seem evil.
"Wow. Nice landing, huh?"she teased, grinning widely. She then let out a laugh, then sighed. "Sorry for laughing but that was just...kinda fun, y'know? Well, from my point of view, it was,"she went on. She sure had too much to say today, out of boredom.
"'Neways! Who are you?"

Bartz straightened up, grinning back at her laughter. It was all in good fun, really. Even he had to admit that he landed kind of clumsily from jumps.
"Wow. Nice landing, huh? Sorry for laughing but that was just...kinda fun, y'know? Well, from my point of view, it was,"
Bartz, still grinning, replied. "You know it. I deserve a 10 all around, and..." suddenly he focused on her shuriken. "That is one big shuriken. How can you even fight with that thing?"
At her question as to who he was, he put his hands on his hips. "My name is Bartz Klauser. But all my friends just call me Bartz. I actually had a couple of questions, seeing as you're the only person around here..." he gestured around.
"First off, what's the name of this world? I know for sure I'm not on Lix anymore. And my next question should be obvious. What's your name?" He held out his hand for a handshake.
((Bad post is... bad. Couldn't think of anything else to say, considering they're just meeting. XD))

Well, at least Hollow Bastion hadn't gone dead like she thought. She offered the newcomer a cheerful grin and clicked her tongue at the comment about her shuriken. "Nah, it's not that heavy. Using it is a part of my ninja training,"she winked, a small smirk placed on her face.
She had already figured out that he wasn't from this world, and his first question made it pretty obvious. "Well, this is Hollow Bastion. Uhm, but...it looks better when there's people around,"she commented, looking about. Most of all she wanted to know where Squall and Aerith ran off to, and why they hadn't asked her to come too. Unless the dark... no, that couldn't be. Right? No, that couldn't be...
She put her worries aside for the moment and offered the biggest grin she could manage. "The great ninja Yuffie at your service! Nice meeting you,"she took his hand and shook it enthusiastically. "Sooo... when did you get here? What happened to your world?"she asked, hoping not to seem to nosey.
((Lol, don't worry XD my posts are fairly bad, too. This post was epically fail-y))

"The great ninja Yuffie at your service! Nice meeting you. Sooo... when did you get here? What happened to your world?"
Bartz continued to smile. "Nothing... I hope." Here, the smile dropped off his face, even with Yuffie's perky tone of voice. "Why? What happened to your world?"
Bartz gestured around them. "I came here because... well, it's a long story. After fighting Chaos, the god of disorder along with my friends from different worlds, my crystal..." here, he dug into his pocket and drew out his crystal, a glowing purple stone that was roughly shaped like a diamond (geometrical). "Attempted to bring me back home to Lix. But it brought me here instead."
Bartz tossed the crystal into the air, catching it with his other hand. "This crystal is a piece of the goddess Cosmos's life force. She gave up her life in order to empower the ten heroes to defeat Chaos. In the end, each of our crystals brought us back, or so I would think. I don't know what happened to the others, but I'm not going back home anytime soon."
Bartz, through this little speech, looked downcast. But then he brightened. "You know this world better than I do, Yuffie; why don't you show me around, so I can get to know the basic layout of the place?"

Yuffie looked away, as soon as he asked about her world. "I... well, it's kind of complicated,"she sighed, but her smirk stayed in place. She couldn't, didn't want to remember that. Wutai... first it had been turned into a touristic realm of sorts, then swallowed away by the Heartless... how much sense did that make?
She then listened to his story, making sure to capture any word, in order to understand, to know...
"I'm sorry,"she smiled meekly, not quite sure of what else to tell him. She sighed. It seemed that, day to day, more worlds... they kept vanishing. Blinking out, in a heartbeat, in the blink of an eye, vanished... forever...
"Why of course mister! I'll show you around,"she said, and then ran off ahead of him. Her smile became brighter.
"C'mon, I'll show you the restoration comitee's headquarters."

Bartz smiled, reassuring Yuffie. "Ah, don't worry, I'm sure every one of them can handle themselves just fine. Especially Cloud, what with that gigantic sword of his... I don't know how he can swing that thing around! I barely can!"
As if to punctuate his point, he ran up to her, in front of her, and in a bright flash of light, caused Cloud's sword to appear in his hand. He slung it over his shoulder as he let her take the lead and followed her. "Hmmm, the Restoration Committee? You're trying to restore Hollow Bastion?"
He looked around. The place didn't seem that badly damaged; normal wear and tear for a town. As they walked, Bartz pressed her for details. "What are you trying to restore about it? A government? The infrastructure?"

Yuffie blinked a little at the sword. "...And you said my shuriken was big,"she joked. Compared to that sword, her shuriken was toy-sized...
She shook her head a little as he asked what they were trying to restore. "Nope, and neither. You see, this world used to be much, much greater, and we're trying to bring it back to the way it was. And to get rid of the Heartless." Oh, especially that last one. The heartless were swarming lately. In fact it was awfully risky to leave home without a weapon to defend oneself. Yuffie sighed, at this moment she wished she knew where the heck Sora was. His help would be so very useful...
Speak about Heartless, a couple of Shadows emerged from the ground, and crawled their way toward them. Yuffie sighed in annoyance and kicked them off once they were close enough. That... it wasn't a method of getting rid of them, but it worked; and she had to admit seeing a flying heartless was funny.
"And those were Heartless..."
