Sitting inside, Kairi shuddered. How come it was so cold? . Especially when she was up in her own room. She wasn’t sick, she was certain. It was just something in the air...the feeling of uneasiness just would not fade. Not even in her home. It had been some time, actually a while she felt this feeling. It ran deep, suggesting the threat of darkness was way more powerful than before. The feeling never went away, neither did the thoughts. She worried anxiously when Sora was away, as she didn’t like standing and doing...nothing.
But, she had been trying, even on her own. Sure, she didn’t get that far but every little effort helped? Right? She really hoped so. Sitting on the end of her bed, Kairi watched as the moon was shining dimly in the sky, the water reflection eerily lighting up the side of her house. Her blue eyes scanned the outside, swearing she saw something in the shadows.
Perhaps it was just her imagination. But with everything that had happened lately, she could not help but be that extra bit cautious. It helped that her parents were out for the night, which gave more reason to check this out...without being caught. And possibly grounded. They didn’t know much about her travels, she hadn’t told them much of the details. Partially not to worry them.
And the other reason, she was scared of what they would think, of her...fighting heartless. Shuddering at thought, Kairi tiptoed out into the winter night air, hair moving in the cold wind. She perhaps should have put on something warmer, but she convinced herself she wouldn’t be out too long.
The curiosity just got to her...especially since she was on her guard alot of the time now. The sound of footsteps made her turn around quickly, a flash of light appearing in her hand. Her keyblade came into hand, y instinct. She was used to handling it by now and had gotten a little bit better at wielding it. Not as good as her other two friends...but enough to get by. ”Hello?” she called out by the palm trees, watching her steps. Her blue eyes sifted around, the ocean looking so dark, endless at this time of night. A short gasp racked her throat as she heard it again, causing her to stand on her guard...She could never really tell nowadays whether it was a friend..or foe.

She hadn't a clue how she had gotten here. Once she had left to afterlife to the land above, a curious darkness much like the one she had encountered before had engulfed her, sending her to an unknown place that was surrounded by salt water and its strong waves. Faded hazel eyes peered around, glittering curiously. Emily hadn't much to say because she hadn't met anyone yet, but it would be rather fun to explore, would it not? The living dead woman made her way around the sandy island, plucking at leaves to feel their texture against her waxy skin. It was so soft, though the edges were sharp and left a few cuts she would have to take care of later with some proper stitching.
Though the weather was cooler, snow hadn't dare touch the ground here - something she was rather used to where she had lived. Snow was so fun to play in, as her childlike innocence would never fade. The woman craved nothing less than what she already had, but she did want something more. And maybe, if she believed in it long enough, her dream would come true and her life would be restored in full, body healthy...alive. Smiling at the thought, she wiped a small tear from her eye, the thought of being alive again overwhelmed her sometimes.
To feel the gentle patter of a heartbeat. The one laying in her chest was dormant, and quite possibly rotted on one side. Emily hadn't a clue if she was whole or ever would be again, but having her wonderful hair to comb through with a healthy, natural color would be an absolute dream. To have her eyes wide, bright and lively would make her indescribably happy again. Not that she would pay any price, she had already learned that putting all of your cards in on one person would cause misery and...well. Death.
Hearing someone call out, the twice-deceased woman perked up, smoothing out her dress, which had frayed just a bit more (perhaps investing in a new outfit would be wise). She ran a skeletal hand through her hair to get out any stray spiders, maggots, or knots. Then, she saw one of the most pleasant sights of her life so far. A living being. Cautious, as she remembered Victor had ran from her when she had met him, She grabbed a palm tree leaf and hid her face and damaged arm, clearing her throat with a pleasant greeting.
"Hello there, dear young lady. I hope I didn't startle you." Emily said warmly, which she found quite easy to do, hopefully, this young girl wasn't quite like Lord Barkis. The lonely soul could use a good chat.

It was so easy to bottle things up.
The stress and the fear and the anger would eventually come out...whenever she wanted to let them out of course. The red haired young woman was trying her hardest to stop thinking about this whole situation...the darkness.
But it was hard, especially on a night like this.
The wind blowing howled fiercely as it rushed across the island. It's sound, added to the fact that the moon was getting clouded and the stars apparently refused to show up made everything seem oddly eerie...and dark. Though, Zana wasn't afraid of the dark. It was what was beyond it what sent a chill down her spine; the thiught, merely trying to imagine it...it was unnerving. She didn't want to know. No, it wasn't necessary, she was sure she could live without that knowledge.
The young woman stood looking out the window at the half-clouded sky; an empty gaze on her eyes. What was happening? The need to know... a desperate search for answers got to her, and she stepped outside; swords drawn, just in case. She made her way toward the ocean...
It was then when voices started echoing through the air, breaking the silence and the thread to her thoughts. Two figures came to view, and Zana sighed a bit. She put one sword away, and gripped the other one tightly as she made her way toward them. It was too dark, and she couldn't see very well, but she made her way to the two lonely figures cautiously.
"Bit late for a walk. Don't you think?"
