Nibbling at the ice cream in his hand, to avoid it melting, the pink haired man took note of her sudden change of mood. He could only chalk it up to the ice cream's sugar contents. It did seem sweet, after all.
It seemed strange to him to eat. Really, the Graceful Assassin rarely ate, unless he found himself truly hungry. Perhaps, this was a bad habit to realize, thinking on it.
Pausing, halfway through his ice cream, Marluxia thought about an answer to the first question. Letting out a small sigh, the man swallowed the small amount of ice cream on his tongue. "Can't you feel it? Darkness. It's power," the man trailed off, examining the girl's face. "Somehow, the power in the darkness has restored us.
Finishing the ice cream, the man rose to dispose of the wrapper that had been left behind by the no-longer-existent snack. Still standing, a faint smile licked his lips at her next question. "I suggest you make yourself busy, under Superior's orders. If you've left once, you're already on unstable grounds. Failing to immediately report may make your situation worse."
With another pause, the assassin's eyes slipped shut. "If you're daring, you can simply... take one of the missions in the files." Perhaps, one wouldn't realize what he meant at first. But they were just as he said. There were files that one could simply... take a mission from, out of a pile of them in another room. Though one had to fear being given another mission, directly from the Superior, and being overloaded by missions, if they chose to do this. Blue eyes opened, to stare at Xion again, as the man glided toward her. "I cannot say with certainty if it would only agitate him, or please him, if you did so, however."

Xion's eyes lowered."Darkness?"she mumbled to herself, thoughtfully. It seemed that no matter how, none of them could escape the dark. It was almost as though it was a part of their nature, or so she thought. That thought roamed her mind for a minute and she sank into a deep silence again.
Eyes cast on the floor, Xion wondered how long had it been. Weeks, months, years...more time? She hadn't felt time passing by, but she was aware that it must have been a lot. Even if it felt like no time had passed. For her, it was almost as though it was that same day she disappeared.
She looked up. "I can do that. Where are the files?"she asked. She wasn't entirely sure if she had the strenght to use her Keyblade at the moment, but the very last thing she wanted was to unleash the Superior's rage. He was already scary when he wasn't furious...now, if he was furious...that was an image she didn't want in her mind at the moment.
Xion stood up, bright blue eyes almost wide with a mix of seriousness and fear. "I'm ready,"she said blinking a bit.

Stepping around the girl, Marluxia motioned for her to follow him. The assassin only had to step out of the room, and walk a short distance down the hall before coming to another door.
Something about the girl reminded him of Roxas. Surely, it was age alone. The pink haired man hadn't spent enough time with the young keyblader to be able to identify if the two held similar personalities, but they seemed to be in the same age range. That was really all that he had to go on, though.
Pulling open the door, he wandered in. It was a simple room, relatively blank, much like many others. A white couch rested on the far end of the room, and a table sat just beside the door. Moving far enough into the room to allow the younger member comfortably in, he made a small motion to a pile of folders, in a container, on the table.
"You can take any that you think you're capable of," he shrugged slightly. "Are you able to handle yourself, or will you be requiring assistance?" Surely, the offer was strange, but, for once, Marluxia had found very little to do. It didn't affect him either answer she could give. After all, he did lack emotion to actually care about such things. And there had to be a few missions that someone that lacked strength could do.
Or not. Marluxia didn't care, as it really didn't apply to him. It wasn't as though the man would really care, even if it did.

A smile appeared on Xion's face as she peeked around the room. It was probably a reflex, for she wasn't exactly happy. It was hard to explain but a mix of fear and uncertainity bubbled deep within her; the smile was just her brittle attempt to cover it up.
Xion's eyes searched all the files curiously. Most of the missions involved retrieving certain items or taking care of a few Heartless. It didn't look like big deal--although, looking at some of the missions, there seemed to be a few complicated ones. Xion read through all the files curiously.
She found a mission that involved heading to Wonderland to take care of a few Heartless. It didn't sound that tough...unless it was one of those really large Heartless, but she was sure she could manage it by herself. She pointed toward the folder. "This one,"she said.
She might have picked something far too easy, but she wasn't sure if she could even summon the Keyblade. Her strenght had come back almost completely, but maybe it wasn't enough. Better make sure instead of dying in the attempt. "I believe I can handle it on my own,"she said with a bright smile. It was almost like the good old days.

Looking at the file, Marluxia shrugged. A few heartless in Wonderland. Such a simple, yet pointless mission. "Then you may want to keep the folder with you, to avoid anyone else picking it up," he suggested, lightly, "although, I don't see why Heartless missions are even available to every member."
Annoyingly, the man had been sent on many of these missions. Go, kill heartless, return to base, go back, then kill the same heartless that had been terminated last time, because they don't just die. "Roxas was the only one that could make them worthwhile. The rest of us are just sent back and forth to rid the same exact being that we had the first time."
Only the keyblade would make the missions truly useful, and to his knowledge, the mystery girl wasn't a bearer.
"It doesn't make our existence any less redundant, I suppose." It was true. Although Superior was fully aware that Roxas could only expel the heartless, random Organization members were sent on these pointless tasks. Perhaps, it was just to keep everyone busy.
Chances were, that was the intent of giving pointless missions out.
It took him by no surprise that she stated that she could take the mission on her own. It didn't sound too difficult. Chances were, it was relatively simple. For this, he only nodded in acknowledgment of her decision.

She read the file she had picked carefully twice, then shrugged a bit. "I guess they are just routinary missions..." she commented. True, that kind of missions didn't seem important at all. They were just something designed to keep them busy...
...Unless of course you had a keyblade, which Xion did.
Just as she meditated this, Marluxia made a comment about the fact that only Roxas could get something useful from those missions. She shook her head lightly. "I guess, but it's better than staying inactive..." she then pictured the Superior angry again...and almost flinched at the thought. Indeed, doing something that appeared useless was a better option than having rage raining all over her head.
Xion tucked the folder into her cloak and then fixed her hair a bit. She was unsure as of what she had to do now; should she go and complete her mission? Or should she wait for a while to make sure that her energy had come back fully? That last option was tempting; she wanted to go to sleep for a couple of hours before going on mission, but she also wanted to stay out of trouble...
"I guess I should be going now?"

Marluxia watched her for a moment. Who was she? He still wasn't certain. He knew every member by name, and had at least a vague understanding of them. All thirteen of them. He still didn't completely grasp this. She was fourteen, but a member of Thirteen. Although he understood that she had a name, and knew it, he didn't remember anything about her.
"If that's your desire," the man shrugged, fingers flipping through the other missions. It seemed that they were moving through the files too quickly for him to read. Let alone that he seemed to take the occasional glance to Xion. But no, he was reading them. They were all dull.
"But first, Xion," digits froze, a file parted open by his index finger. It almost seemed like he wasn't looking at it, though. Almost. "Why is it that you don't quite seem to," the Graceful Assassin hesitated, thinking for a second, "fit in?"
She was a number above thirteen. Fourteen. He thought he could recall that much. But that was the only memory he possessed. Hearing that number. The rest was simply... blank. He didn't even remember her weapon, or any title that she could hold. "I still don't recall you."
If he had a heart, perhaps he would feel bad. But he didn't. He didn't feel any sorrow for forgetting the girl. Forgetting her name, or anything about her. The entire time he had spoken, his voice had been monotone. He didn't feel bad for forgetting her, and he wasn't really curious. But he wouldn't allow an imposter to leave, if that's what she was. He had given her time to awaken, and now it was time to learn who she was, in regards to the Organization.
The pink haired nobody didn't intend to allow a fake to wander off with one of their mission files, especially. Surely, if he just let her go, he would irritate Superior. Likely, more than irritate the man. If Xion was only a fake, or a spy of sorts, he would be in a large deal of trouble.
But if she was a nobody, which was questionable by her display of emotions earlier, she could easily open a corridor and flee. Though this was ill-advised, as Marluxia would follow her and cause her to regret the decision. Or she could stay, and explain his lack of memory regarding her. If she even knew, that was.

Blue eyes sank to the ground. "I wouldn't know,"she answered a bit distractedly. Yes, she was aware that she was diferent from the rest of the Organization. Even back then, she was diferent. She had no memories and no way to knowing what had been of her before being brought to the Castle in the first place. Strange. But she had not thought of this before Marluxia brought it up.
"I don't remember much actually. So I don't know,"she answered with a small frown on her childish face. She pondered it for a minute but didn't really focus on it; she was getting another headache, sharper and more annoying than the one she had earlier. Maybe going out wasn't the best choice at the moment, but she didn't know what else she was supposed to do. She really had no clue, and it was kind of getting to her; in that state, she couldn't think clearly.
A gasp escaped her. The headache kept growing steadily, making her dazed. Xion had to cling to the table to keep herself from falling, but she commented nothing. Her blue eyes filled with pained tears resulting from the headache and the folder fell to the floor, the file in in slipping out of it and sliding across the floor. "Maybe...the mission can...wa-ait..."she let out in a groan.

The man listened to her uncertainty. Really, he couldn't tell if she was a true member of the Organization because of this. Which mean that there was a possibility, he would let a spy wander loosely about the castle, or attack a member. Either way, he would be in trouble. Consequences were the last thing he needed to handle.
Then, it seemed the other had become dizzy, or something, as she gripped at the table. Letting out a 'hmm,' sound, Marluxia reached over, with one arm, wrapping it around her shoulders to steady her. Yes, the assassin with pink hair was capable of holding a teenage girl up with one arm. Surely, it was unimaginable!
The folder seemed to lack priority, as he moved, to bring her to the couch across the room. Perhaps she needed to sit. Or lay, even. He wasn't sure, but standing didn't seem to be fond of her. "You're probably not strong enough to leave yet," he pointed out, dully.
It really seemed that he didn't care much. And, truth be told, he didn't. She could go out on a mission and kill herself, and it likely wouldn't affect him in the slightest. It wasn't as though he knew her for very long. But he wasn't in a hurry to leave her alone. If luck were to shine upon him, another member would come along and confirm the girl's identity, but it seemed none would.
At least it would give him time to figure out who she was.

Xion suddenly found herself sitting on the couch, gripping her head like it would make the pain go away. It wasn't working, obviously. She had no idea of what was going on but whatever it was, it was painful, too painful.
"I don't think I....I can leave like this.....I'm s- so- sorry...."Xion barely whispered. By now she was lying on the couch; she hadn't even noticed how she had ended up like that. She squeezed her eyes shut tightly; hoping to at least be able to get some sleep...
She could now recall a voice telling her she'd be forgotten if...what? That was the one missing piece; she was almost completely sure that she'd be able to recall what had been of her before reappearing in the Castle. She couldn't figure out what it was though; and in this state it was much harder to even try and remember. She was far too tired.
"Why is this happening...?"was Xion's final question before passing out. She fell back into a light, almost tormented sleep.

"It doesn't matter to me if you leave or not," Marluxia shrugged at the apology. Really, it didn't. If she was screaming and running about like a four year old, perhaps the answer would have been different, but she wasn't, and the pink haired man seemed to be a relatively patient person.
Although he did like results immediately. Sometimes, waiting was the best way to go about things. Then again, there were those times when immediate action was necessary. This seemed a better time to just stay put.
As Xion faded into unconsciousness, the assassin stood, watching her for a moment. It still bothered him that he couldn't quite place her. Was she supposed to be here? Well, really, if she appeared here, she was supposed to be here, but perhaps not for a reason that would allow her to walk away.
To busy himself, he left the room for a short time, only returning with a light gray vase in hand. With a simple touch to the dirt, the seeds within slowly cracked and grew. Maybe, to many, not quite slowly. It was a delicate process to age a plant properly, and required caution, but was something the man spent free time on, as ridiculous as it could be. After all, there wasn't much he could do when not on missions. Why not brighten the place a little?
Within a couple of minutes, the plant grew into pink Geraniums. Perhaps, it would liven the room, slightly, and bring forth a more pleasant air. To him, the room seemed stuffy. Then again, nobody had roamed the halls for quite some time, until the recent return.
Placing the plant on a nearby stand, he shifted to lean against a wall in the rather vacant room.
Taking a glance at the sleeping Xion, he thought about it.
If she wasn't an Organization member, why would she have just... suddenly appeared? For him, it didn't make sense. He couldn't remember her, but it wouldn't add up if the girl didn't truly belong.
